We believe God calls everyone – not just the pastor – to care for each other in the ministry of the church.
Caring & Support Ministry
Serving the community as a church doesn’t happen without learning how to do so. Everything we do is because people like you felt moved to help others, which is what being a church is. From clerical tasks in the office to landscape maintenance to notes you receive when you’re sick, someone volunteered to do that for the church – and for you.
Look over this list of caring and support ministries. It might never have occurred to you that someone needs to do that! It might even occur to you that this is something you would like to do!

Lay persons serve one another by taking communion to the home-bound, writing notes, calling, emailing or texting to provide care to members of the congregation, especially in times of illness and death, as well as joyful experiences like a new home or the birth of a baby. For more information, contact Gayle Fiser.

Volunteers gather at least quarterly to clean up campus inside and out, including raking leaves, power washing, and adding plants. Others assist with minor repairs, from plumbing to painting.

Each year in early fall, our pastor leads a group of persons who would like to learn more about ministry excellence, enjoy spiritual renewal, and fellowship. We travel to the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas, host of the Leadership Institute.
To get involved, contact Rev. Betsy.
